Team NITK Racing is a team comprising of racing enthusiasts belonging to 2nd,3rd and final year B.Tech students from NITK who believe in the saying "It’s better to be a racer for a min than to be a spectator for lifetime".
"Every epic, History in the making always has a remarkable beginning!!!". As a testimony to the saying, The NITK team successfully participated in SAE BAJA India 2007 in its first year of inception and won accolades & appreciation by being the overall runner up of the competition. Since then we have been creating history year after year, conquering milestones making a place for itself in the racing world by making 5 cars in 4 years!!
Since Last 2 years our team has retained the name of NITK Racing which signifies our respect for the college and enthusiasm towards racing. Our sister team NITK Racing FSAE participated in FSAE Michigan US 2011,the toughest circuit In the FSAE calendar .The only team from India to Participate made us and our college proud.
Our area of interest is ATV designing and off road racing. To make sure we cross the finish line triumphantly we operate in a methodical & organised manner. Every year, new members are recruited through a test on practical and technical skills, followed by a technical interview by seniors. Hence the team consists of experienced seniors and fresh talent under the guidance of our faculty. As a team we are determined to leave a mark on SAE BAJA INDIA 2012 continuing the legacy our previous teams.
Above all the hard work , determination ,technicality, it’s the adrenalin rush we experience seeing our car race past the finish line and bring glory to us...makes us work even harder. After all, " Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in one pretty and well deserved piece...but to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, worn out and defiantly shouting 'WOW, What a ride!!!' ".
